Let's Play!

Boy playing with bubbles

It's Summer so it is time to play! The doors of the Library may not be open but we are still celebrating Summer Reading. This year each week of Summer Reading now has a theme and from June 6th to 12th it is "Let's Play". Feel free to play before June 6th and to continue it throughout your lifetime-it never goes out of style. There are lots of ways to play so grab a board game or a ball, build your family an obstacle course, see if you can make someone laugh, figure out what games can be played while social distancing. Check out our Children's Services Blog on June 6th for more ideas.

Let us know what you are playing! #OPLSummer

Don't forget to sign up for OPL Kids' Summer Reading! Kids who participate weekly by reading or by completing activities during the Summer can choose a free prize book and are eligible to win other prizes. Books and prizes will be distributed when we reopen. Register online or download and print a reading log by clicking on the “Kids” link at www.oaklandlibrary.org/summer.
