The art of Sean Äaberg virtually

Sean Äaberg virtually at Oakland Public Library

Join Sean and Katie Äaberg, pioneers of Oakland's flourishing "zine" scene & punk art movement, in a virtual exhibition of Sean's work. He and Katie, his wife and co-founder of Goblinko studios & Pork magazine, will present the contents of the new retrospective of his work, newly published in book form as Acid Vomit.

Born and raised in Oakland, Äaberg will be using this opportunity to check in with all of his old friends and fans here in the East Bay, where he was on the vanguard of Kustom Kulture and the art that comprises it. He will also be helping us here at the library, where he was once employed, to bring special attention to the Local Authors' Collection, where his work is now proudly represented. He and wife and creative partner, fellow artist and photographer Katie Äaberg will be comng to you live from their current studios in Portland, Ore. on the library's Facebook page to celebrate the Summer Solstice. Check back soon for specifics.
