All library locations will be closed on Monday February, 18, and all locations except Eastmont, Brookfield, and the Main Library will be closed on Tuesday, February 19, for President's Day.
Discover & Go: Frequently Asked Questions
What is my PIN?
Your PIN would have been set up when you applied for your library card. If you do not have a PIN or have forgotten your PIN and it needs to be reset, you can do so by calling or visiting any Oakland Public Library location.
What if my library card is expired?
Discover & Go will not work with an expired library card. Your card expires every three years, and you can renew it by calling or visiting any Oakland Public Library location. You can also email email@example.com from your email address on record, and provide your full name, library card number, current home address, and telephone number.
What attractions are available through Discover & Go?
Log in with your library card and select “browse by venue” to see what is currently available for OPL cardholders.
How do I cancel my Discover & Go reservation?
If you have not printed the pass, you can cancel the reservation by going to Discover & Go and logging in. Once you are logged in, click on "account" in the middle of the toolbar at the top of the page. Click "cancel pass" under the appropriate reservation. Once you have printed the pass, the reservation cannot be canceled. If you reserve a pass and do not use it or cancel the reservation, the unused pass will count towards your limit.
Once I have logged out of Discover & Go, how do I go back and print my passes?
You can print your pass by going to Discover & Go and logging in. Once you are logged in, click on "account" in the middle of the toolbar at the top of the page. Click "view/print pass" under the appropriate reservation. Once you have viewed or printed the pass, the reservation cannot be canceled.
I've lost my pass. Can I reprint it?
Yes. If you have lost your printed pass, you can go back and reprint it, following the instructions in the question above this one.
Are you limited to a certain number of passes per year?
Why can I not get a pass to the venue I want?
Some venues give us a limited number of passes. Once those have been used, no one can get a pass to that venue until more passes are provided to use by the venue. This varies venue to venue.
