The Oakland Public Library is pleased to partner with the Harwood Institute, bringing Rich Harwood to facilitate an engaging community discussion titled, “Living on Main Street: How to Stay More Connected and Relevant.” Mr. Harwood will give his talk at the Rockridge Branch Library, 5366 College Avenue, on Wednesday, November 20, from 7:30 – 9:00 pm.
Rich Harwood is a nationally known teacher and coach who, for over two decades, has helped communities and organizations solve pressing problems and change how people work together. In this talk, Harwood will discuss the framework and tools that are available to communities motivated to move forward, no matter how challenging the circumstances. The hope is that people from a broad cross-section of the community will join us for this event and begin the process of working together for the common good.
Are you an active citizen? Would you like to be an agent for positive change? Are you hopeful that residents can work together towards common goals that improve your community? We invite you to join us.
