On Monday, May 27th, the library will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday. All branch locations will be closed on Tuesday, May 28th. The Main Library will be open on Tuesday, May 28th.
Brookfield Branch Library Will Re-open on May 3

Tue, 04/26/2011 Oakland, CA - After undergoing repair work, the Brookfield Branch Library, 9255 Edes Ave., will re-open on Tuesday, May 3 2011. Repairs to the branch include renovation of the building's skylights, which previously caused excessive heat in the library on sunny days.
The Brookfield Branch will resume its regular hours of service:
- Sunday: closed
- Monday: closed
- Tuesday: 11:30-7:00
- Wednesday: 10:00-5:30
- Thursday: 10:00-5:30
- Friday: 12:00-5:30
- Saturday: 10:00-5:30
