Painting of light by

We encounter light every day-- sometimes in ways we may not be fully aware of. Its varying wavelengths are the only reason humans are able to see color. We feel it while going about our lives --the sun on our skin, the calming glow of a candle. Symbolically, light can be felt as the knowingness--the truth inside of us-- or as a catalyst enabling us to discover something otherwise hidden. Its existence can reveal new ways of seeing, new ways of being, and, as defined by Merriam-Webster, is "something that makes vision possible."  What makes your vision, your perspective possible?  View the work of four artists--sharing their experience through the notion of light.

Michelle ChamplinMichelle is a Bay Area artist, educator, and compassionate facilitator whose work explores emotion, human perspective, personal truth, and their significance.  She primarily works with acrylic paint and mixed media.    Arthur Koch: Arthur is a Bay Area artist whose work includes but is not limited to; photography, digital art/animation, and painting. Light is the common denominator in all of his work. He is passionate about seeing the beauty in simple things and expressing his vision through art.
