Eric Hannan ehannan@oaklandlibrary.org 510-615-5823
My name is Eric Hannan and I am the Teen Services Librarian at the 81st Avenue Library in East Oakland. I have been working in Bay Area public libraries with teens and young people since I was a high school teen myself. Unlike high school, however, I am now stoked to wake up early every morning and come to work because I love my job. Aside from my library work, my life revolves around music. I enjoy playing guitar, bass, drums, and anything else that makes noise. I have one of the coolest analog synthesizer collections around (just ask me!) and I love making strange sounds with them. Sometimes they’re even musical. I also enjoy reading, yoga, cooking, hiking, and doodling. I am really excited about the bright future of the 81st Avenue Library and I am very proud to work with the youth of East Oakland. Come by and say hi!

Hi! My name is Xochitl and I am the Teen Librarian at the Eastmont Branch. I have a lot of experience working with youth, mostly in the non-profit world, and enjoy it immensely. I look forward to serving the teens in the East Side and hope to host some fun events in the library. Before coming to Eastmont I worked at the Main Library for three years in the Circulation Department. I am a native Oaklander and am thrilled to be part of the library system I have used all my life.
When I am not at work I love spending time with my family (especially my new baby son,) traveling, cooking for friends/family, watching food network/ crime shows/ reality TV, going to the movies, reading true crime novels, going for long walks, and reading to my baby." |
