Homework Assistance Program for Teens

High school and middle school students in Oakland who need homework help have a new option: the public library. Oakland Public Library now has a free drop-in Homework Assistance Program for teens, ages 12 to 18 years old. Teens who want help in English, math, research and science from an experienced volunteer tutor can come to one of three Oakland libraries for assistance. No advance registration is needed; just drop in on the days you want homework help to complete your assignments.

Homework Assistance Program Locations

Asian Branch Library
388 9th Street, Suite 190 , 238-3400
Mondays & Tuesdays, 6 – 8 pm (math only)

Eastmont Branch Library
Eastmont Town Center , 7200 Bancroft Ave., Suite 211, 615-5726
Mondays, 3 – 7 pm
Saturdays, 1 – 3 pm

Main Library (West Auditorium)
125 14th Street , 238-7233
Wednesdays & Thursdays, 6 – 8 pm
