Teen Events at the Library
To see a list of all upcoming teen events, click here.

Oakland Public Library and Youth Speaks invite you to our free After School Writing and Performance Workshops for teens. Taught by experienced writers, this 10-week series covers everything from fiction to storytelling to desktop publishing, improvisation, poetry and performance. Open to anyone 13-19 years old.

Tuesdays with Fish Vargas at the Chavez Branch 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM

Thursdays with Dyanna and Milani at at Rockridge Library 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

Youth Leadership Council
Active teens determined to improve libraries of Oakland.

Teen Advisory Boards

Join a Teen Advisory Board (TAB). Join with other high school teens to tell the library what YOU think the library should be doing for you. Snacks provided. Earn community service credit!
