Go to the City of Oakland Career Opportunities web page for opportunities to apply for regular full-time and permanent part-time positions at the Library and in other City departments. For these, you will need to follow the directions on the city web pages. Applications result in being ranked and placed on an active list of candidates, if you are qualified. This list remains active for a certain amount of time, depending on circumstances, and when openings occur during that period, you may be called to interview for that specific position.
