Telling Temescal Tales IV

Image advertising Telling Temescal Tales IV at Oakland Public Library

Come and be among the first group of community members to contribute a story related to the Temescal District that will become part of the legacy of the branch's second century of service to the city. Your story will be included in the Temescal Branch library's archives, adding to the collection of historic materials recently donated by neighborhood artist Jeff Norman. Your words will also go into a time capsule that will be opened in 100 years for the library’s bicentennial. You'll be able to write whatever you'd like about an experience in the Temescal District, a memory related to the neighborhood or anything about your life if you've spent any time in the neighborhood. The recollections will be curated by long-time area resident Leonora Sea and she will be on hand to help get the recollections down on paper.

This is part of story gathering program as part of the recognition of the first year of the second century of service to the community by the Temescal Branch Library.
