Pinay Poets' Extravaganza with Barbara Jane Reyes, et al.

Award-winning Oakland poet Barbara Jane Reyes, author of the newly released chapbook For the City that Nearly Broke Me, will read from her work and host readings by three emerging Filipina-American poets from Oakland and the Bay Area: Rachelle Cruz, Melissa Sipin and Yael Villafranca.

The event continues the series of monthly Saturday afternoon salons at the Temescal Branch Library that feature important contributors to Oakland's cultural fabric.
