Celebrate the new baseball season by joining best-selling sportswriter Jason Turbow as he introduces Dynastic, Bombastic, Fantastic: Reggie, Rollie, Catfish and Charlie Finley's Swingin' A's, his new book from Houghton Mifflin about the legendary Major League baseball dynasty put together by owner Charles O. Finley & its roster of colorful & winning teammates whose home games were played at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum in the early years of the 1970s.

Turbow is a veteran sportswriter specializing on baseball whose writing has appeared in such major publications as the New York Times, USA Today, The Atlantic, the Wall Street Journal, SportsIllustrated.com, Slam, etc.  and is a regular contributor to Giants Magazine & to Athletics, the official magazine of the Oakland A's. 

This event is part of a regular series of Saturday afternoon salons at the Temescal Branch Library featuring authors and other creators who are contributing to the cultural fabric of the local community.
