Free Tax Help at the Main Library

Again this year the Main Library will be offering free tax preparation help for our patrons. Trained volunteers from the AARP Tax-Aide program will help you fill out and file your Federal and State taxes.

The Main Library is a drop-in site for tax help. Seniors, aged 60 and older, will be given priority at this site. If you would like to make an appointment for tax help, call our Chavez or Golden Gate branches to make a reservation. 

What do you need to bring?

·       Copies of your last year’s federal and state tax returns

·       All paperwork needed to fill out your 2016 tax forms

·       Your spouse (if you are filing jointly)

·       Picture ID

·       Social Security card (required this year for ALL participants)
