CORE provides free emergency preparedness training for individuals, neighborhood groups and community-based organizations in Oakland. CORE training teaches selfreliance skills that enable neighborhoods to establish response teams to take care of the neighborhood until professional help arrives.

CORE is a program of the Oakland Fire Department’s Emergency Management Services Division.

A second session, Neighborhood Preparedness & Response, takes place the following Tuesday at the same time.
