This month, Golden Gate is excited to host Swap-O-Rama-Rama (normally held at PLACE for Sustainable Living).

Swap-O-Rama-Rama is the world's largest volunteer-produced clothing swap and DIY sewing workshop that teaches participants, on every continent except Antarctica, how to extend the usefulness of their textile goods and forestall their entering the waste stream by re-purposing, upcycling or just plain ol' repairing.

Swap-O-Rama-Rama is a way to teach the community how to creatively reduce textile waste, recruit new volunteers and enjoy each others company and wisdom while helping the planet.

HOW IT WORKS
Bring a bag of your CLEAN unwanted clothes for FREE entry, and to take your new found (or made) treasures home. If you like, bring a snack to share and definitely a creative need to make a difference. Sewing machines, experienced coaches and inspiration provided.
