Free Tax Assistance
In partnership with the AARP Tax-Aide program, the Oakland Public Library will be offering free tax assistance to patrons from Friday, February 1st through Monday, April 15, 2013. Trained volunteers will be available to help residents fill out their tax forms at five library locations.
Tax Help at Golden Gate Branch
Assistance will be available at Golden Gate Branch on Wednesdays from 10am to 2:30pm and Thursdays from 10am to 3pm.
What to Bring
Participants need to bring copies of last year’s federal and state tax returns and all materials pertaining to their 2012 tax forms for themselves and their spouse (if filing jointly).
