We will scan your old snapshots, scrapbooks, and record your stories to share with the communtiy. Let future generations know what it is like to live in this neighborhood! 

Friday October 6 and October 20 from 2pm until 4pm, as well as Tuesday October 17 from 3pm until 5pm. Please sign up with library staff for a 30-minute session by calling (510) 597-5023.

Commons Archive is a neighborhood memory bank at the Golden Gate Library. Neighbors contribute and annotate archive materials, adding their stories and images to this evolving collection. Commons Archive is organized by the marksearch cultural research team. 

Commons Archive is a part of Kala Art Institute's Print Public program and is made possible in part by a grant from the Creative Work Fund, a program of the Walter and Elise Hass Fund athat is also supported by The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.
This project is also funded in part by the California Arts Council, a state agency.
