Author Talk and Discussion with Kitty Kelly Epstein
Kitty Kelly Epstein, Ph.D, served as Education Policy Director for Mayor Ron Dellums, and is the Former Chair of the Education Dept., and current Professor of Education at Holy Names College in Oakland. She also hosts an education talk show on KPFA, and is a recpient of the Marcus Foster Educator of the Year award.
Dr. Epstein will discuss her recent book, Organizing to Change a City, and the newly revised book, A Different View of Urban Schools: Civil rights, Critical Race Theory, and Unexplored Realities. Please join the discussion for our city and the education of our students, at the Dimond Branch Library, on Sat. Oct. 27, from 1:30-3:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public.
