Let’s make a mural! Oakland teens: Come learn the collaborative mural process used by the acclaimed Precita Eyes Muralists. During the two-week workshop (Feb 28 and Mar 7) we will develop a theme for our mural, sketch out ideas, compile our sketches, outline the images with charcoal, then paint! Over the course of 2 sessions, students will learn about the community building aspect of painting murals and get hands-on experience creating a lasting work of art for Oakland Public Library. We encourage youth to come to both sessions to see their finished product.
