a Book for the Oakland Public Library
The Oakland Public Library thanks you for your support of the Oakland Reads: Buy A Book campaign. Over the past year, our Library has received approximately $15,000 worth of new titles through the auspices of this initiative thanks to the efforts of many individuals, the Hills Newspaper Group, Web Blog author Pamela Ribon and a number of local booksellers, including:

Because of the passage of Measure Q on March 2nd, the Oakland Public Library will be discontinuing this major book drive as additional funds for materials become available beginning July 1, 2004. However, we still welcome donations of books, especially popular titles. A monthly Wish List will continue to be posted here on this site.
