The Oakland Public Library celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Oakland History Room with a special exhibit. The display, which ran from June 9 through September 15, featured many outstanding and unusual examples from the Oakland History Room's rich collection of materials on the City of Oakland's past. Rare photographs, programs, scrapbooks, postcards and manuscripts highlighted some of the room's varied treasures.
