Return to your Oakland childhood through the Oakland History Room's latest exhibit. This exhibit features photographs, scrapbooks, report cards, yearbooks, schoolwork, and many other items from our collections, including material from our growing Oakland school archive.

This exhibit is being mounted in conjunction with a touring exhibit, "Our World : the Children of Oakland." These photographs by Marianne Thomas are from her book of the same title and will be on display through April 25, 2002. Enjoy these 34 beautiful photographs of children representing Oakland's diverse ethnic populations. See this exhibit, also at the Main Library, in the east hallway on the second floor.
