The Emeryville Historical Society and the Oakland History Room present The Oakland Oaks: Pro Baseball in Emeryville, 1913-1955.

Before the A’s, there were the Oaks. This pennant-winning Pacific Coast League team brought Bay Area fans to its Emeryville ballpark from 1913 to 1955.

Rare photographs of 19 th century baseball teams and parks open the exhibit. You’ll also see photographs and memorabilia of Oaks parks and members, among them Billy Martin and Casey Stengel, from the team’s beginning in 1903 until they left in 1955 and closed the park.
