The Children’s Room serves all ages of children and their parents, teachers, and caregivers. We feature classic and popular materials in a wide array of formats, from books and comics to DVDs and online databases. Tables and cozy window nooks offer a variety of places to talk, read or work, and our friendly multilingual staff can assist you in locating materials or using the children’s computers.

We offer special programs throughout the year (see Events), regular storytimes as listed below, and individual visits for groups by appointment.

Preschool Stortyime on Mondays at 10:30am. Stories, songs, and fingerplays for ages 3-5.

Toddler Storytime on Saturdays at 10:30am. Songs, stories, flannelboards and rhymes for ages 3 and under.

Located on the ground floor of the Main Library, the Children’s Room has a wheelchair accessible entrance on the Oak Street side of the building.
