Longfellow School students head back to class

The exhibition includes samples of the archive of Longfellow School, closed during the first round of consolidations under the state administrator's budget-cutting plan. Here, students head back to class in April 1959 in a photograph by Keith Dennison, a former staff photographer at the Oakland Tribune.
