Montclair Branch Library Set to Reopen July 6, 2009***************************************************************************************************************************************** (Oakland, CA)— After receiving extensive mold abatement, the Montclair Branch Library will be back in operation starting Monday, July 6, when it will return to its regular schedule. Library materials will be moved back to the branch in the coming weeks, and between 6,000-10,000 items will need to be re-shelved. In addition, custodial and maintenance crews will be working to ensure that the library facility will be in tip-top condition when it reopens to the public next month. A delay in the reopening of this facility occurred after the Oakland City Council voted to extend the temporary closure of the Montclair Branch through June 30th in order to realize current fiscal year savings. For more information, contact Acting Branch Supervising Librarian Sally Bean, (510) 238-3670. The Oakland Public Library is a department of the City of Oakland. ### Sign up now for our monthly e-mail newsletter! Go to www.oaklandlibrary.org
