Montclair Library Temporarily Shuttered for Mold Abatement

( Oakland, CA)— The Montclair Branch of the Oakland Public Library, 1687 Mountain Boulevard, will be temporarily closed due to mold abatement beginning Monday, March 23, 2009. The project is estimated to take two months and the library is tentatively scheduled to reopen the week of May 18 th.

During the period the Montclair Branch will be closed, users can return their library materials to the book drop in front of the building. However, they will need to designate another library location to pick up any holds (i.e., reserved items) they might request while the Montclair Branch is closed.

Nearby libraries include the Dimond Branch, 3565 Fruitvale Avenue; Piedmont Avenue Branch, 160 41 st Street; Rockridge Branch, 5366 College Avenue; and Temescal Branch, 5205 Telegraph Avenue. Information about public hours for these libraries can be found on our Website, www.oaklandlibrary.org.
