If you have been using a temporary library card number and PIN number for access to online databases, e-books or downloadable audiobooks, those temporary numbers are no longer necessary. Now use your regular library card number and PIN for this.
And if you have been using your library card and the last four digits of your phone number for this, you will now be able to use a PIN that you create.

- If you have a library card but no PIN, click here to create a PIN for yourself.
- If you have no library card and would like to get one, follow the instructions here .
- If you have forgotten your PIN, staff at any Oakland Public Library service desk can clear it so you can create a new one. To safeguard your security, you must visit an Oakland Public Library location in person. Please bring a current picture ID or your address, birth date and your library card.
